Kawartha Lakes love themed styled photo shoot

The Kawartha Lakes is a beautiful place in the winter for photography. As much as I am not a winter person.. I will shoot out in the snow for any creative purposes. The winters can be daunting come February/March. My favourite thing to do to beat the winter blues is get out and make some art! Since Valentine's Day was approaching we decided to go with a love theme. Trish is a master at hair and she came up with this heart shaped style that was perfect for our styled shoot. Paige killed it with her stunning makeup artistry! Felicia made the perfect model for our photo session was froze to the bone but I don't think I heard a single complaint.

This styled shoot became and idea and put together within a week and a half. Trish and I have worked together for years creating amazing work. She is always up for my spontaneous crazy ideas. These shoots fuel me, they give me the creative spark that I lack during the winter months.

Thank you to the Burnt River Off-Road Vehicle Facility for the location. It was a trek getting in there.. but we had a beautiful blanket of snow over night that left the trees covered in fresh new snow which made it all worth the journey.

The Team

Trish did another amazing job. She created a heart shaped hair creation and it turned out beautifully. Paige created a stunning smokey red eye and a vibrant red ombre lip to complete the look. Considering this shoot was put together super last minute... it turned out better than I could have even anticipated.
