Kawartha Lakes Photography Fundraiser

Photographers around the world united together during the world wide pandemic to start the Front Step Project raising money for local charity. This movement took off fast with eager photographers ready to whip out their cameras and bring communities together in a time of need. Along side Morgan Bress we joined together we photographed 75+ generous and supportive families on their front steps from a very safe distance.

The support was incredible! We started a GoFundMe page with a goal of raising $1500 for the Kawartha Lakes Food Source. Sessions went as fast and we quickly DOUBLED our goal! $3140 in total!! You all are amazing!

This event warmed my heart to the core. The love and appreciation for what we were doing was immensely heart warming. During this time of isolation days can be daunting. We gave families a little something to look forward to, a reason to put pants on, to brush their hair and come together for a family portrait that they will look back on for many years to come. The images will tell a story to generations to follow about the 2020 world pandemic.

TO THE FRONT LINE WORKERS WHO ARE GOING TO WAR WITH THE VIRUS.. YOU ARE TRUE HEROES!!!!

The image below is one of the last houses I visited. I got out of my car and out came an elderly couple with a handmade sign. I thought aww! We took a few photos, had a little chat. I thanked them for their gracious donation and got back into my car. For the first time it hit me. Reality set in. Tears started to fall down my face as I drove away. We really are in the middle of a pandemic, holy shit! Life as we know it has totally been changed and we will feel the affects for years! We will get through this. They said it best...
